At AlManarah, we aim to make volunteering more than a feel-good activity; that being said, they are involved in every aspect of our organization, from administrative duties to community outreach and legal counseling. Our volunteers are a crucial component of our success and without them, our work would not be possible.
Our volunteers are from a range of backgrounds and have a range of motivations for wanting to help, such as contributing to a cause they connect with, for personal reasons, or because they want to give back to the community 25 percent of the Arabs in Israel have moderate to severe disabilities, so it is an issue that affects nearly one in three and most people know someone who is affected.
There are also those who want to gain and develop skills and contacts for future employment. We have relationships with several local universities that work in fields related to disability, such as social work or health care. These skills-based opportunities enable volunteers to apply their specific areas of expertise and individual talents, and in doing so, help AlManarah to build and sustain its organizational capacity.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to help AlManarah or in the disabled community, please feel free to contact us either at firstname.lastname@example.org or on (00972) 04-6011574.
