Shining Hope, Transforming Reality
AlManarah Association (“The Lighthouse”) was founded in 2005 with a revolutionary mission: to amplify the voices and visibility of people with disabilities in Arab society in Israel, to ensure the fulfillment of their natural, social, and legal rights, and to build a more just, equal, and inclusive society—free from exclusion, stigma, and prejudice.
In 2025, we inaugurated AlManarah House —the first Center of its kind in Arab society dedicated to the empowerment and enrichment of persons with disabilities, their families, and the wider community. The center is an innovative, fully accessible, and inspiring space that connects culture, community, innovation, and humanity.
Why AlManarah?
More than 570,000 Arab citizens living in Israel have physical, sensory, mental, or intellectual disabilities, and thus face double discrimination: from society and from limited, inadequate governmental policies.
We are here to change that reality.
Our Vision
An equal society in which persons with disabilities are leading, contributing, and are influential citizens—guided by the values of excellence, equality, and dialogue.
Target Audience
Children, youth, and adults with disabilities, their families, educators, therapists, students, and the general public.
