AlManarah has internalized from the outset that she must expand her spheres of influence, with regard to promoting the rights of people with disabilities, and has also begun to operate in the international arena.
In 2014, it published its “Double-Discriminated” position paper, which presents the many challenges facing people with disabilities in Arab society, and in particular their challenges in accessibility, education and employment. The position paper was presented to senior UN officials as part of a series of meetings held by AlManarah in the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the UN Geneva ministry. AlManarah also met with representatives of the Convention Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in particular that the State of Israel ratified the Convention in September 2012.
Almanarah’s highlight was in 2017, when she organized a party event during the decade-long International Covenant Legislation on Disabled People’s Rights. At the same event, she presented her groundbreaking project and is the digital AlManarah Library that serves as a platform for accessing knowledge for people with disabilities worldwide.
