At AlManarah, we believe that the growth of a person with a disability begins at home. Emotional support, practical tools, and an encouraging environment are key to the true inclusion of persons with disabilities in society, academia, and the workforce.
That’s why we established the AlManarah House Family Club – a warm and safe space for parents, siblings, and relatives, where they receive tools, personal guidance, and group support to accompany their loved ones on their journey of empowerment and growth.
What do we offer?
- Empowerment meetings and group support: Sessions led by professionals who accompany families through emotional and social challenges, providing a space for sharing, emotional expression, and strengthening parents as key partners in their child’s development.
- Personal guidance and support: Because every family has its own path. We offer one-on-one conversations, emotional support, and close mentorship for parents seeking to understand, cope, and guide their children toward a life of independence and meaning.
- Workshops and training on exercising rights: Knowledge is power. At the club, we provide parents with practical tools to understand their rights and those of their children, and how to navigate government offices and social services effectively.
- Parental involvement in skill-building programs: Alongside students enrolled in empowering courses, we engage parents through regular meetings, based on the belief that active parental involvement is a key factor in their children’s success.
- Open dialogue about independence and social integration: One of the most complex emotional challenges is recognizing the importance of a child’s integration into society, even when it’s hard to let go. At the family club, we facilitate compassionate discussions on this topic and support parents through the transition.
Why is this important?
A strong family is the foundation for a person with a disability. AlManarah’s Family Club aims to strengthen family bonds, empower parents’ sense of capability, and help them walk hand in hand with their children toward a life of independence, inclusion, and fulfillment.
